Junior Football:

Tallow 4-08 Kilgobnet 4-13
Never has a game been influenced so much by two players. Donnchadh Mulcahy plyed his trade at corner forward garnered himself a total of 3-3 all from play while his counter part on the Kilgobnet side at full forward scored around 80% of their total. It was a lively opening ten minutes with scores a plenty. Our first score was registered on the scoreboard when Ryan Grey pointed a free inside two minutes.  Donnchadh "the Tyrone Samuri" scored our first point from play two minutes after, followed it on a minute later when he cut in from the right hand side and slotted over for a beauty. Quick thinking from Ryan resulted in our first goal of the game when he blasted home a close in free.
The speed of it confused some as on the Cappoquin scoreboard it was recorded as a point. Jordan scored a wonder point and a long rang bomb from kevin henley on ten minutes had us leading 1-4 to 0-
Five minutes after this Kilgobned had a goal and point scored. The ever industrialist Donnchadh had the misfortune to see a thunder bold come back off the butt of the post as he left players in his wake. It was tit for tat now and a Ryan Grey shot dorpped short inot the hands of Donnchadh and he billowed the net.  Kilgobnet's reply was instantaneous as they socred a goal straight away to leave the tie deadlcked at 2-5 each. Kieran Geary scored a point but again Kilgobnet breached our defence to add another goal and lead at half time 3-6 to 2-6.

We started the second half slowly and before Kieran Geary added his second point from play we trailed by six points with forty minutes played. Donnchadh hoodwinked his man and put over a point reminiscent of Joe Brolly with the high trajectory of his kick. There was a lull in the game for a period as their was no score for about eight minutes. Donnchadh again scored his second goal of the game and he maneuvered around a Kilgobnet defender to slot home. Donnchadh finished off his masterclass with his last goal following a delivery after a piercing run by Jake Beecher. It was a five point loss and we now play a quarter final of the west

All Ireland Tickets:
Recently we've received some compliants from members that the All Ireland hurling ticktes were not advertised yet the football ones were.  Without doubt match tickets are the most contentious part of our year. Be it Waterford ar All-Ireland tickets we always receive complaints. We do everything we can to liik after all those club members who request tickets. Often buying extra tickets from other clubs where possible to ensure we cater for as many members as possible with no finacial benefit to the club. Rightly or wrongly we have never before advertised that All-Ireland tickets were available, with it being standard that members contacted the club if they require tickets. After the hurling final a number of complaints were received about members not knowing that a draw was being held. This is why we advertised the draw for the football tickets. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and going forward we will advertise that a draw for tickets is open to all club members.
