Notai CLG Tulach an Iarainn 16th September

Kieran Geary had a free on the thirteen. With some quarters shouting "to put it over", his scuffled shot billowed the net. Geraldines levelled the game again and then took the lead before Ryan deadlocked the teams again after he picked up a rebound off a Donnchadh blocked down ball. Kieran levelled the match again for the third time in the second half with a good point from play. A minute later as an uncontested kick out resulted in the ball working up the field and the Geraldines scored a goal. Ryan put over a long range free off the ground with a minute to go but we couldn't get a goal to save us. I was critical of our first round performance but the team had showed a lot more heart and football ability in the later stages of the competition. We thank Sean, Tom Bear and Dinny for managing the team and for Diarmuid on first aid.

Tallow GAA would like to pass on our condolences to Kay, Eimear, Brian and Aileen Twomey on the passing of Seán Ó Tuama. Seán was Vice President of the Club, Irish Cultural Officer and Déise Draw promoter. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Déise Draw: The last Déise draw is  on at the end of the month. Could all money be handed into to one's promoters as soon as possible.

Five in a Row: The Dublin juggernaut keeps rolling and they completed the first men's senior five in row in the history of the association. There is no doubting their class and athleticism and it doesn't look like it's slowing very soon.  Four under 21's in this decade, forward of the year in U20 football Cian Archer not even on the panel until next year, a manager you took the ego out of Dublin, the financial clout that leaves everyone in their wake, playing nearly all their games in Croke Park, need I go on?

Croke Park Treatment: The red carpet treatment was out in Croke Park on Sunday last for a Tallow man. How lucky was William Murphy that Siobhán was on the Jubilee panel for Waterford!
