The Big Kick-Off
Yes Saturday next will see the schoolboy league kick off and hopefully the weather will be favourable to good football.  Managers will be notified during the week regarding what teams are in action.

On Holidays 
Good to see Essie Sheehan and daughter Christine Lee home in Tallow for the holidays.  Mike Prendergast and his daughters Maura Jean and Tara with the grandchildren are also home.  Good to see its younger Essie and Mike are looking.  This weekend Val Cunningham and Mickey Davis will be home for the annual Horse fair.

The Birthday Boys 
Yes the twins Sean and Alan Curley celebrated

their 21st birthday on Saturday last.  Its great to be young and the lads finished the night hunting (no not the girls) cows of course.  Anyway lads congratulations from all in United.

Fundraising 
I heard a little story regarding Dinny and Sunset Sound but I will leave that to whats that you call it-Facebook.  Howevet I'm sure we will be hearing more regarding Dinny and the boys as they are comming to The Corner House soon for a fundraiser.  More details on this gig later.  I suppose Andy Cunningham and Tom Mulcahy will be guest artists.

Horse Fair Day
Yes it's upon us again and next Monday the town will be jamm4d with stalls, people and of course the horses and ponies.  Now remember the town will be closed off to traffic going through the town from early morning till 7.30pm-8pm.  Listen to the local radio statios for updateson times.
