Brideview Utd Schoolboy League

Under The Tree at Spar
Yes there we were the committee of Brideview Utd looking under the tree at Mary Fordes Spar shop when all of a sudden bingo tickets for the Euro's came falling off the tree.  The club would like to thank Mary for her help with getting the tickets for the Euro's.  Not forgetting the man on the computer.  Thanks H.  A big number of local fans are heading to France

and we wish everyone a safe trip and the boys in green will get some good results.  The club will be putting up some Irish flags during the week to help is get in the mood as it were.

Len Rogers Memorial Tournament
Our U8 and U10 teams travelled to Clashmore on Saturday last for the above tournament.  Len was certainly looking down from above as the weather was fantastic and 32 teams took part.  While our lads did not win their tournament its fare to say the boys and girls enjoyed the trip.  Thanks to the many parents who travelled to Clashmore and brough the grub with them.

U10 Squad: David Bowes, Alex Good, Billy Murphy, Stephen Murphy, Taylor Twohig, Aiden Murphy, Joseph McDonnell, Lucy Donnelly, Niamh Spillane.
Utds score: Stephen Murphy(2), Aiden Murphy(2), Joseph McDonnell(1).

Our U8 Squad: Tadhg Mc Cormack, Ben Sheehan, Darragh O'Brien, Ryan Whelan, Keith Martin, Michael Murphy, Adam Pratt, Lukasz Almeida, Sean Mangan, Geordan Murphy.
Scorer here was Ben Sheehan

Cup Finals in Cobh
The leagues cup finals took place in Cobh on Sunday and Monday last and a big crowd of locals travelled for these games.  Cobh Ramblers pitch was in excellent condition and of course the boys and girls enjoyed themselves.

Summer Camp
Our summer camp will run from July 18th till 22nd.  The cost is just €40.  We will have more on this in the comming weeks.

Tostal Festival
The local Tostal Festival committee are to be congratulated on a marvellous festival weekend.  Our own Michael Delaney gave a terrific dancing display in "Strictly Come Dancing".  Our 1916 Commemoration on Monday was another outstanding success with a big crowd and blessed with fine weather.

The Big Kick Off
Yes its all systems go for the Euro's and we wish Martin, Roy and the squad the very best of luck in France.

Saturday Next
The final blitz takes place in Ardmore on Saturday.  The Kids will be lead by the head coach as the other fellow is working.  Poor Boy.  The club will send three teams to Ardmore and we will them the best of luck.

Thanks
The Frazer family would like to thank the sponsors and the local people who turned up in such abig numbers for their charity night (cancer) in Lizzies.  Some local lads are doing a sky dive next month and we will give you a final figure after this event.  Again a big thank you.

Best Wishes
To all the boys and girls who are now sitting for their exams.  Just do your best folks and remember its not the end of the world if you do not do well.  There is always next year.
