Brideview Utd AFC Schoolboy Notes

Synergy Credit Union Fermoy U15 League

Henley on fire

Yes it was a busy Saturday for the Club with four teams in action. Player of the day must go to our U 15 striker who grabbed four goals. Well done Jake.

On Sunday afternoon last in Leonard Fraser Park North Tipperary were the visitors to take on our U14 Development squad in a vital game for our boys who were unbeaten going in to this game.

Results: Synergy Credit Union Fermoy U15 League

Brideview Utd 7 Ardmore 0

While Utd ran out big winners here a young Ardmore side put up a brave performance especially in the second half.

Jake Henley was Utd's hero here scoring four of Utd's seven goals. First half goals from Josh Good (13th min) Billy Marsh (18th min) and two from Jake Henley (24th & 32nd min) saw Utd lead 4-0 at the break.

The second half was keenly fought with the visitors playing better in this half. Jake Henley, an O.G. and Henley again before the final whistle saw Utd clinch three points.

Utd's Squad all played:

Jack McDonnell, Adam McSweeneyAlan Hurley, Ian Martin, Callum McCarthy, Jake Henley, Ciaran Lenehan, Alex Bennett, Dylan Sheehan, Josh Good, Billy Marsh, Fionn Meaney, Taylor Twohig, Stephen Murphy.

McDonnells goal not enough.

Mogeely 2 Brideview Utd 1

Utd made the rather short trip to Mogeely on Saturday afternoon. Lying in third place Utd were hoping to at least stay in third spot. The homeside were well down the League and looking at this fixture Utd would be hopeful of getting a good result.

It was not to be however as Mogeely ran out winners by the odd goal in three. The East Cork side led 1-0 at the break.

They added a second early in the second half. Joseph McDonnell pulled a goal back fr Utd but we were unable to score an equaliser despite putting the homeside under alot of pressure in the final 10 minutes.

Utd all played: A. Good, D. Power, G. Hynes, A. Murphy,D. Cronin, B. Murphy, S. Pratt, G. McDonnell, P. Henley, A. Pratt, B. Sheehan, J. Henley.
