Fraser Cup Final

A thriller in Tallow

Brideview Utd 6 Valley Rangers 7

No this was no penalty shoot out , the score above was the actual score at the final whistle. It left managers, players and supporters drained.

Rangers went in front in the 5th minute. Ben Aherne scored for Utd to bring the sides level. Aherne was in again after 12 minutes to put Utd 2-1 in front. A minute later the sides were again level at 2-2 inside the opening 13 minutes.

Kieran Crawford put Utd ahead in the 31st minute with a great header and Utd led 3-2 at the break. Could we have another second half like the first. The answer was yes we could and leave fans of both sides drained. The second half began where we left off. Just two minutes in a Josh Sheehan cracker ended up in Rangers net. It was now 4-2 to Utd.

Back came Rangers and pulled a goal back in the 60th minute. An O.G. for Utd in the 63rd minute saw Utd go back to a two goal lead at 5-3.

Then the game knocked the fans for six as we had four goals in four minutes . We could hardly blink. A penalty to Rangers in the 75th minute which was scored. It was now 5-4. A minute later it was 5-5 as Rangers scored. Another minute another penalty to Valley and now Rangers led 6-5. Kieran Crawford grabbed an equaliser for Utd, now it was 6-6.

It was too much for many of the hoarse fans. Then Rangers struck five minutes in injury time to run out winners at 7-6. What a game we had and we congratulate Rangers on their victory.
