United advance to Semi Final
Cashel Town 2 - Blackwater Utd 4
Utd advanced to the cup Semi Final when they recorded a good away victory in Cashel on Saturday afternoon. They now have a home draw against league champions Burncourt - Vee Rovers.
Any early chance to Town saw Beecher get down well to save. At the other end Mc Grath was denied by the town keeper. Just 12minutes in Arron Long's volley just went over the bar.  Beecher again rescued Utd in the 18th minute before an Eoin Mc Grath free kick ended ended up in the back of town's ned. At the break Utd led 1-0. Just 3min into the second half Motherway was unlucky to see his fine effort just go over. Aminute later Utd went 2-0 in front when Long scored from close range. It was all United now. Fives set up Aherne in the 48th minute to shoot low into the corner giving Town's keepers no chance. It was 3-0 but Beecher was again in action in the 56th minute when he got down well to save what looked a cerain goal.
Mc Grath grabbed a fourth goal for United in the 63 minute and United took it rather easy after this and Town grabbed two late goals but United held out to reach the cup semi-final. Well done lads.

Utd's Squad all played: D.Beecher, E.Mansfield, L.Motherway, R.English, D.Costello, B.Aherne, G.Fives, M.Steward, K.Crawford, E.Mc Grath, A.Long, M.Smith, S.Hill, E. Murray, J. Chambers.

DB Sports Tours u14 Cup Quarter Final
A good game of football here from both sides with Utd causing a surprise on the night. However it was no more than they deserved. Jake Chambers proved to be Utd's hero on the night grabbing two first half goals. The first came in the 10th minute from the penalty spot. The second came in the 34th minute directly from a free kick to put Utd leading 2-0 at the break.
The second half saw both keepers tested. Shane Martin kept Inch at bay with two good saves early in the second half before Mark Dalton added a thrid for United. Inch did not give up and pulled a goal back. They tried hard for a secondbut Utd held out and so advanced to the semi-final.
