Brideview Utd AFC Schoolboy/Girl Notes
Horse Fair On Monday
Best Wishes Tommy
This week week we wish one of the clubs former players namely Thomas "Tommy" Ryan the very best of luck for Sunday as Waterford take on Galway in The All-Ireland. Tommy is on the panel and lets hope he gets a run in Croke Park.
Horse Fair Day
The following day sees the annual horse fair taking place and hopefully
the weather will stay fine and we can look forward to a big crowd and local fans celebrating a win on Sunday. The car park will open around 7.30am on the morning of the fair. It is always the busiest day of the year in Tallow and hopefully all the supporters will arrive back safe and sound for the fair. It could be some day in Tallow. Be there.
Its All Meetings
Yes its the time of the year and there is no shortage of meetings with junior and schoolboy meetings taking place on Moday and Tuesday. Add in a club meeting so it has been one of those weeks.
Waterford FC are at home on Friday night as the Blues look to gain promotion from the first division. Shelbourne are the visitors on Friday night but the blues have to up their game on Friday as the visitors defeated them in the cup.
Republic of Ireland in Action
A very busy weekend in sport with the boys in green in action on Saturday and Tuesday. Two victories here would be a big boost for R. of Ireland and put them on top of the table. However neither Georgia away or Serbia at home on the Tuesday will be easy games but we hope for the best.
Last weekend we had some people celebrating their birthdays namely Theresa Curley and Linda McCormack both of the same age. We know the two girls had a great birthday with parties which lasted late into the night. So well done girls. Also to Luke Mc Carthy who celebrated his birthday over the weekend.
"Chuck" has told me the bus is now full but he might run a secod one. Well done "Chuck". Ha! Ha!
Wishing Tommy and the team the best of luck on Sunday and yes I remember 1959.
