Brideview Utd AFC Schoolboy/girl Notes 10/10/17

Brideview Utd AFC Schoolboy/girl Notes

Sad Weekend for United
Yes indeed a very sad one for the club as the club lost a very good friend who spent many years on the committee of our senior club.  The young man in question is Pat Sharkie Mc Grath.  Sharkie also spent many year on the festival committee which the club organised for many years.  On behalf of the schoolboy club we extend our deepest sympathy to the Mc Grath family (Moorehill) Tallow.  May he rest in peace.

U13 B League
Brideview Utd 3 Ballybridege Utd 5
No shortage of goals here.  Jake Henley scored twice for Utd while Stephen Murphy aslo

got on the scoresheet.  the sides were level 2-2 at the break and both sides missed some good chances.  However the visitors got the upper hand in the second half and ran out winners.

Utd panel all played: Conor March, Jake Henley, Josh Good, Ciaran Lenehan, Chris Bowes, William Kenneally, Alan Hurley, Arjuna Cantwell, Ian Martin, Stephan Murphy, Jack Mc Donnell, Taylor Twohig.

Saturday Academy
This continues every Saturday Morning under the coaches, Finbar Mc Cormack, Steven Whelan, Eoin Mc Grath, and Stephan O'Keeffe.  We will have more news on this within the next few weeks.

On Tour
The club are hoping to take some of the boys and girls away for a day trip at the end of the season.  Once everything is sorted parents and kids will notified.

Come On Ireland
Yes it was a terrific couple of days for the fans of the boys in green.  A win on Friday night before over 50,000 supporters was teffific even if the pace dropped in the second half.  Mags was delighted to attend her first match and is now demanding a ticket for all future games.  I wonder what the tal fellow has to say about this.

Waterford Boys On Target
It was great to see two local boys grabbing the limelight over the weekend.  Daryl Murphy struck twice for Ireland on Friday night last and the captain of Rep. of Ireland U19 team namely Jayson Molumby grabbed a hat trick in their 5-0 win over Cyprus.  More on theis next week.

The Bally Boys
Yes one local girl seems to have a thing about boys from anywhere once their is a Bally in the address.  Im sure R.R. is delighted.  Ha! Ha!  She was at the match on Sunday morning but spent most of the time texting.

Fixtures for Saturday 14th October.
